We understand that great service is essential for local business and we go the extra mile for all our customers, whether you are dropping into Port Street for a couple of carrots for your soup and a chat or are a catering business looking for a local veg supplier.
We are a traditional fruit and veg shop.
Quality produce is essential to good healthy eating - at Ginger Roots you will always get the freshest fruit and veg at a fair price.
As a new business we have some growing to do. With the good of the planet in mind, we will be sourcing more local, organic and low air-mile produce over time, evolving our business.
Buying small amounts from our shop at least reduces both plastic and food waste. It’s also good for community and we will always have good music and a friendly welcome for our customers.
We also sell rather fetching, cotton mix reusable ‘Turtle’ shopping bags that are dolphin friendly and fit handily in your pocket.
